Ingredients

1) 2½ cup (350g) all-purpose flour
1) 2 tsp. (8g) baking powder

1) 2 tsp. ground ginger
1) ½ tsp. (1g) ground cinnamon
1) ⅛ tsp. nutmeg
1) ¼ tsp. allspice
2) ½ cup (152g) fancy molasses
2) ½ cup (113g) hot water
3) 1¼ cup (283g) unsalted butter, room temp
3) 1 ¼ cup (202g) brown sugar
4) 3 large eggs, room temp
5) 2 egg yolks, room temp
Cinnamon sugar coating, combine:
6) ½ cup (93g) granulated sugar
6) 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

In a bowl combine (1) set aside. Combine (2) set aside.

In a mixing bowl cream (3) for 3min, then add (4,5) eggs one at a time.

Stir in flour (1) alternating with (2).

Bake at 350F for 12-15 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then coat with (6).
