350F, 10-inch tube pan ungreased
1) 2 ½ cup cake flour, measure then sift
1) 3 tsp. baking powder
1) ¾ cup granulated sugar
1) ½ tsp. salt
2) ½ cup vegetable oil
2) 7 egg yolks, at room temperature
2) 1 tsp. vanilla
2) ¾ cup cold water
3) 7 egg whites, at room temperature
3) ½ tsp. cream of tartar
4) ¾ cup granulated sugar

In a bowl combine (1) and sift then make a well and add (2), beat until smooth and set aside.

Whip (3) on high until soft peaks then gradually add sugar (4) until meringue is glossy and stiff

Fold meringue into batter in three portions until well blended.

Pour into tube pan and bake at 350F for 45 minutes.

Cool cake upside down.
